Heading for a Draw
The 1st Ashes test match between England & Australia at Cardiff, is heading for a draw. First a stubborn batting by English lower order, then brilliant centuries by Australian Captain Ricky Ponting & opening batsman Simon Katich pushed the things a bit. Then both of them got out quickly & it seemed we could have an exciting finish, but the Michael Clarke & Ashes debutant Marcus North played superbly to keep the things under control for the Aussies.
Finally rain has also arrived which has really limited the chances of a possible result. We have to wait for July 16th when the second test will start in the 'Mecca of Cricket' Lords.
