RCB won 6 of their last 8 games under the captaincy of Anil Kumble. He was very inspiring & said even young players like Van Der Merwe were also Captains! He himself bowled well & was the only bowler to take 4 wickets in a game twice! RCB must consider themselves extremely unlucky not to clinch the title. They were brilliant with the bat, exceptional with the bowl & instrumental in the fielding & catching department. Praveen Kumar, Ross Taylor, Manish Pandey, Jacques Kallis, Van Der Merwe & Anil Kumble were their key players at different junctures of the tournament. Kumble proved himself as the best captain of the tournament who inspires his team by setting examples & leading from the front.
