Time to Re-group

It's time to Re-group for both the Indians & the West Indians. Both teams are looking confident before the start of the first game of the series. The first of the four ODIs will begin in Jamaica today between the two teams. India, on one hand will be like a wounded lion, who were thrown out of the ICC World T20 by joint efforts of the West Indies & England, in the Super 8 stage.

Well, it's a new beginning for them. However, they don't have the superstars like Sachin Tendulkar, Zaheer Khan, Virender Sehwag & Suresh Raina; still they look a strong unit (especially on papers). They looked a fatigued team, tired team before the ICC World T20 & they said that an early exit have given them enough time to re-group themselves for this series against the West Indies. It's time for some young lads like Murli Vijay, Dinesh Karthik & Subramaniam Badrinath to make their mark in the world cricket. These lads will be looking to cement their place in the team. Ashish Nehra, would also be looking to en cash the fresh lease of life he has got after the IPL.

On the other hand, surprisingly West Indies are looking as a much better team than India, at the moment. Their Captain Chris Gayle has earned a lot of fame past IPL Season 2 & ICC World T20. He has openly express his love for the format, but will also be seriously concentrating on this series as well. Though they've lost the last ODI series they've played against England, still one can hope for an improved performance from them this time round. Also, Shivnarine Chanderpaul & Ramnaresh Sarwan are masters of their craft, especially in the ODIs. Dwayne Bravo is also a standout cricketer, as far as West Indies are concerned.

The Squads for both the team are as follows:

India (likely): 1 Gautam Gambhir, 2 Dinesh Karthik, 3 MS Dhoni (capt & wk), 4 Yuvraj Singh, 5 S Badrinath, 6 Yusuf Pathan, 7 Ravindra Jadeja, 8 Harbhajan Singh, 9 Ishant Sharma, 10 RP Singh, 11 Ashish Nehra.

West Indies (likely): 1 Chris Gayle (capt), 2 Runako Morton, 3 Ramnaresh Sarwan, 4 Shivnarine Chanderpaul, 5 Dwayne Bravo, 6 Darren Bravo, 7 Denesh Ramdin (wk), 8 Jerome Taylor, 9 Ravi Rampaul, 10 Suleiman Benn, 11 Lionel Baker
